TPS Relearn Procedure
Follow steps 1 thru 5 below to perform a TPS relearn. This procedure will eliminate many shift complaints*. Also if there are any codes in memory, these transmissions will failsafe to 3rd gear. Disconnecting the battery will not clear codes, a scanner must be used. If a scanner is not available your local Volkswagen dealer can clear the codes from the computer memory, only then, will this unit shift.

* It is very important to verify line pressure when installation is complete. OEM line pressure in Drive is generally 50-56psi. Reverse is 95-110 at idle. To obtain a firmer engagement or reduce a “flare” shift concern, increase line pressure to 60psi at idle in Drive. This can be accomplished by turning the boost adjuster (in the star shaped hole next to the PR Valve) clockwise. A 1⁄2 turn clockwise will rise line pressure approximately 4psi.
Please return valve body core with shift solenoids, EPC Solenoid & TCC solenoid.
Thank you.
